The Game Boy Advance SP was the last Game Boy before the Nintendo DS. It is the successor of the original Game Boy Advance. This is the first Game Boy to flip open to play since the Game & Watch. The GBA SP has the same controls as the GBA. The games are the same. The only three differences is that on the GBA SP, there is a back light that can turn on and off. Also, it can open and close by folding. And last, The GBA SP charges instead of using batteries, the first portable game system to do so.
